TMCA 58th Annual Compass Award Winners Ante Up With Their Creativity and Innovation Despite Economic Recession

Best in Show Award Winners to Be Revealed on June 8th

PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ – May 19, 2010 – The Transportation Marketing and Communications Association (TMCA) have announced the winners of its 58th Annual Compass Awards. The awards recognize the best in marketing and communications within the transportation, logistics and passenger transit industries.

Open to members and non-members, entries were judged by industry professionals in 10 categories including integrated communications, single advertisement, advertising campaign, direct marketing campaign, communications collateral, publications, web-based marketing, multi-media marketing, special events and media relations. Winners were selected based on the detailed write-up of their marketing campaign and the actual creative work samples.

“This year’s winners have gone above and beyond and shown they want to survive the recession by creating pieces that truly showcase their creativity and marketing expertise. These pieces will ultimately help increase their companies’ profitability,” said Dick Metzler, President of TMCA.

This year, 16 percent of entries won an award of excellence and 38 percent of entries won an award of merit. Winners were also selected for the overall highest scores—Best in Show in the Business to Business and Business to Consumer categories. All award recipients will be honored at a gala June 8, 2010 during TMCA’s Annual Conference and Marketing Expo in Fort Lauderdale , Florida . Winners of this year’s Compass Awards include:
