Stewart Murchie

Stewart Murchie joined the Rideshare board in 2010. He is currently Vice President, Business Insurance Finance at Travelers. Prior to Travelers, Stewart spent nearly 9 years at The Hartford in a variety of senior roles including business-line CFO, managed corporate capital planning, and oversaw a corporate venture capital fund. In prior years, Mr. Murchie worked at Northeast Nuclear Energy, for a telecommunications start-up in Hartford, and from 1993-1995 was a senior aide and spokesman for Mayor Mike Peters. Stewart received his MBA from Yale in 1997, and completed his undergraduate studies at Wesleyan in 1987.
