The holiday season brings an abundance of opportunities to support businesses with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas right around the corner. Have you considered celebrating the spirit of the season in a different way, like donating to your favorite nonprofit?
Our team at The Rideshare Company is proud to open our hearts each year in throwing our annual event, Power of Ability Night, each summer. We host a sponsored Hartford Yard Goats game on their home field at Dunkin’ Park and are able to invite our clients and customers to come and join us for a night of baseball, community, and fun!
Many of our attendees are adults with disabilities, residents of group homes, and participants at adult day centers throughout Connecticut. We have become a part of these communities through our easy fleet program. We provide wheelchair-accessible and lift equipped vehicles to these facilities so that they can easily and affordably move their people together.
As a nonprofit, we fund this event solely through donations and fundraising. It is so rewarding to see exactly where each donation goes. A $10 gift can cover the two meal vouchers we provide to a guest and their caregiver. A $25 donation becomes a guest and their caregiver’s tickets to the game!
