Choosing Public Transit
On June 20th, we celebrate Dump the Pump Day, a special occasion dedicated to encouraging everyone to take public transportation in an effort to minimize their carbon footprint. By opting for buses, trains, and other forms of public transit, we can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease traffic congestion, and promote a cleaner, healthier environment. This day serves as a reminder of the collective impact we can make by choosing sustainable travel options and supporting eco-friendly initiatives. Join us in making a positive difference for our planet on Dump the Pump Day!
Carpool to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Another way to participate in creating a more sustainable future is by taking steps to reduce your carbon footprint, such as carpooling. Reducing the number of single-occupancy cars on the road is a significant step towards a greener future. If you own an organization and want to offer your employees a corporate carpooling benefit, our Easygreen Carpool program provides safe and reliable transportation options. This service can be offered as a fully funded benefit or as a sponsored program. We handle all maintenance and repairs, and provide 24/7 customer service and roadside assistance.
This program offers an incredible advantage which enables multiple commuters to share rides to and from work, saving money on gas, reducing wear and tear on their cars, and helping to lower their carbon footprint.
Additionally, Each carpool, consisting of four participants, will annually decrease greenhouse gas emissions by 12,000 pounds. This reduction is comparable to saving 500 gallons of gasoline!
Carpooling and choosing public transportation are powerful ways to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future. By embracing these alternatives to single-occupancy car use, we can collectively make a significant impact on reducing emissions, conserving resources, and preserving the planet for future generations. Let's continue to prioritize sustainable transportation options and work together towards a greener, cleaner world.
