Life is like a box of chocolates

Posted on by Kolbe

Everyone knows the Forrest Gump quote “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” Outside of thinking of the movie, this quote doesn’t come to mind often. This past weekend, however, it was publicly displayed. Not the quote itself, but the message. Edgar Martirosyan was working his normal shift, delivering pizzas just like any other day. Then he got a delivery going to “writers at the Dolby Theater.” What Edgar didn’t know was that the pizzas were going to the Dolby Theater, but not to a room of writers. The delivery was to go to the Oscars. When Edgar arrived with the three large pizzas, host Ellen DeGeneres led him through the crowd handing out slices to some of the world’s biggest stars! He even got the chance to meet his favorite star, Julia Roberts. Edgar Martirosyan’s life truly was like a box of chocolates. He went to work fully expecting just another run-of-the-mill, nougat-filled day, and instead he was greeted with an amazing cherry cordial-filled star-studded event. It was, as Edgar Martirosyan put it, “the American dream.”
