Speed traps and social media
Posted on by Kolbe
There are many reasons not to speed, I don’t think we need to list the whys here, but one of the reasons is that it can be expensive. Anyone who has gotten a speeding ticket knows that it is an expensive law to break. It’s easy to get upset about the ticket, and forget the real reason for it. Tickets are given out to motivate people to drive safely and follow the speed limits. A town in Texas has started posting their speed enforcement locations on various social media sites. The idea is that motorists can check the site, know where the speed trap is, and drive safely so as to avoid a ticket. It’s an interesting concept. I, for one, am interested in anything that will reduce the number of people slamming their breaks when they see a police car on the side of the road.
