The Rideshare Company and the Hartford Yard Goats Team Up to Build Community and Empower People of All Abilities

Bloomfield, CT—The Rideshare Company (TRC) continues its multi-year partnership with the Hartford Yard Goats that works to create community and empowerment for people of all abilities.

TRC has been providing fleet services to organizations around New England since the mid 1990s, and this work has led the 501(c)(3) nonprofit to form relationships with group homes and adult day centers that run through the Department of Developmental Services. TRC is proud to supply these DDS clients with wheelchair accessible and lift-equipped vans and vehicles to transport their clientele.

With the dedicated partnership established with the Yard Goats, the two organizations host an annual game at Dunkin Donuts Park called Power of Ability Night. TRC receives discounted tickets that they give away to clients and customers with the help of corporate sponsors to cover the ticket prices and food and drink vouchers. This night is beloved among TRC’s clients, with the Yard Goats going above and beyond to make it special, offering first pitch spots and more.

Highlights of the partnership include:

Brand awareness: Increased market presence to drive client engagement and growth. The Yard Goats include digital signage, in-game announcements, and social media posts leading up to the game for TRC.
Making an impact: This event not only supports minor league baseball and the local area of Hartford, CT, but creates a night of fun, laughter, and community for TRC’s partners and clients. Adults within the care facilities along with their mentors and caretakers can enjoy the game with complimentary tickets and discounted food prices.
Community meets baseball: Many people within these organizations do not get the opportunity to make it to a Yard Goats game regularly. Power of Ability Night is often a first Yard Goats experience for the guests of TRC. Introducing members of the community to the joy of a game at Dunkin Donuts Park is rewarding in itself.
