Don't Have a Cow, It's Only Traffic.

Like most of you, we’re not fans of traffic. That’s one of the benefits to using alternate forms of transportation, reducing traffic congestion. Unfortunately, traffic can be caused by any number of things, some tragic, and others comical. Hopefully whatever causes the traffic you have to sit in skews on the side of comical. Commuters in Jefferson County Colorado were in stopped traffic for over a half hour. Eastbound lanes of I-70 had to be closed due to a runaway cow on the highway. Police and Animal Control were able to get the cow into a horse trailer and returned to its owner. After the cow was removed commuters could begin to mooove once again.

Laws apply to everyone and no one

Everyone has to obey the rules of the road; the law makes no exceptions for anyone. Seriously, it doesn’t even make exceptions for no one. A Google self-driving car was pulled over near the Google headquarters in California last week for doing 25mph in a 35mph zone. The driverless vehicle was holding up traffic while driving under the speed limit and as such was pulled over by police. So, the next time you find yourself pulled over and feeling singled out, remember that the rules are the rules; you, me, everyone, and even no one has to follow traffic laws, it’s better for everyone.

NY to London

Transportation technology seemingly improves everyday. Seriously, self-driving cars, vehicles that can talk to each other, trains powered by magnets, it’s as if we’re living in a science fiction film. Well there is one more we can add to the list. Are you sick of the typical NY to London flight taking seven hours? Well there is a new concept design out there for a jet called the Screemr. Capable of speeds as fast as mach 10! That’s ten times the speed of sound, rocketing you from NY to London in only a half an hour!!! With technology like that, you could have a business meeting in London and be back to the states in time for dinner!

Uber Cats

If you’ve used Uber before, odds are you’ve liked the experience. If you’re human, you likely enjoy the love and antics of kittens. This past Thursday was National Cat Day and Uber teamed up with the Humane Society of West Michigan to bring Kittens to people’s offices. That’s right, you could call up an Uber, and for $30 (which was donated to the Humane Society) have kittens brought to your office for fifteen minutes of cute and adorable distraction.

Pizza and Cars

Cars continue to evolve. We have hybrid cars, electric cars, and even driverless cars brought to you by the likes of Google, Tesla, and many others. Who/what will bring the next evolution? You may not have to look any further than your local pizza delivery driver. Dominos is going to be testing a new breed of pizza delivery vehicles. The same company building Google’s self-driving cars will build the new delivery cars. Although these cars will be manually controlled, what they will have is a pizza oven built into the vehicle so to guarantee a fresh hot pizza upon arrival.
